Bump Cap

Small part. Big difference.

The Bump Cap is the flexible top disc used with the Zynpyre Clean Chamber.

It replaces the standard flat metal lid insert and works with the threaded retaining ring, silicone sleeve, and upper gasket lip to help create a more controlled cleaning chamber.

It is not just a lid.

It helps seal.
It helps cushion.
It helps drain.
It helps make the whole system work better.

What It Does

The Bump Cap is a flexible elastomeric cap disc designed for the top of the Clean Chamber.

When installed under the threaded retaining ring, it helps close the chamber during cleaning and creates a softer lid-side surface inside the system.

That matters because cleaning is not just about the solution.

It is about what happens while you shake or swirl.

The Clean Chamber is designed to keep the cleaning process contained, controlled, and easier to repeat. The Bump Cap is a key part of that system.

How It Seals

The Clean Chamber uses a protective silicone sleeve with an upper gasket lip at the top of the jar.

When the Bump Cap is placed under the threaded retaining ring and the ring is tightened, the flexible cap presses against the sleeve’s upper gasket lip.

That compression helps form the chamber’s top seal during normal use.

Instead of relying on a loose plastic bag, open cup, or random container, the Bump Cap works as part of the Clean Chamber’s sealed system.

Before shaking, always make sure the cap is seated correctly, the ring is tightened, and the chamber is checked for leaks.

How It Cushions

When a glass piece is being cleaned, movement happens.

Solution moves. Cleaning crystals move. The piece can shift during shaking or swirling.

A standard hard lid surface is not made with that movement in mind.

The Bump Cap creates a flexible lid-side surface inside the chamber, helping reduce hard contact at the top during controlled agitation.

Together with the protective silicone sleeve lining the chamber, the Bump Cap helps create a softer internal cleaning environment than a bare hard jar.

The goal is not violent shaking.

The goal is controlled movement that helps the cleaning solution and abrasive media do their job.

How It Helps Drain

After cleaning, the Bump Cap can also help make draining more controlled.

Instead of fully opening the chamber and immediately exposing the dirty solution, the Bump Cap may be used as a partial cover while the used solution drains through a controlled gap.

This helps keep the cleaned piece and larger contents inside the chamber while the dirty solution is poured out carefully.

It is a simple improvement, but it helps solve one of the most annoying parts of cleaning: the messy transfer between cleaning and rinsing.

Drain carefully. Rinse thoroughly. Do not store dirty solution in the chamber.

Why It Matters

The old cleaning method worked.

The problem was the process around it.

Plastic bags leak. Cups spill. Random containers are not built for shaking, sealing, cushioning, or draining.

The Bump Cap helps turn that improvised routine into a real system.

It works with the silicone sleeve, threaded retaining ring, and rigid jar to help make the Clean Chamber cleaner, easier, and more controlled from start to finish.

Same cleaning method people already trust.

A better chamber around it.

No bag. No mess. No hassle.
